"Dear Sister Donakey, You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...."

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! So I'm pretty sure all of you know about this already, but I'm still super excited, so I'm writing my own little post on here. Basically, I'm going on a mission!!!!!!! I got my call on Wednesday, which was a huge surprise because I wasn't expecting it until the next day. I got it on 9-9-09 though, which is cool! I'm going to the Philippines Angeles mission, speaking Tagalog and I report to the Provo MTC on January 6th. I was definitely surprised because my Mom had me convinced it was stateside after she looked at the postage and such, but I'm pretty darn sure that the Philippines are NOT stateside! Everyone's getting a kick out of it because of the whole "Phil" thing, which I guess IS sorta entertaining!
That's only the first half of the story though. SO, my dear roommate, Emily Anderson, put her papers in like two days after me. We went through the whole preparation process together and that was great fun and then we thought we might get our calls on the same day. That didn't end up happening though, she got hers the day after me. We guessed each other's calls and I totally guessed the Philippines for her, so after I got my call we decided that she would go to Ecuador (that's where she guessed for me). Well, I went down yesterday to watch her open her call and it was amazing! She opened it and read "Dear Sister Anderson, You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You have been assigned to labor in the PHILIPPINES..." Everyone cheered and she just stopped reading and looked for me. Then she realized she still had a lot of important information to read, so she kept going. She's going to the Philippines Olongapo mission, which is right next to mine, but we leave the exact same day and are both speaking Tagalog! How crazy is that!? Basically, I'm super excited!
Anyway, I'm sure that was all just repeat for most of you, but I'm still in shock, so I thought I would share anyway! Love you all!!!!

HERE COMES THE BRIDE!!?? AUGH!!!

Okay yeah, so I'm getting married. I know, crazy. So anyways, his name is Kyle and he's completely perfect for me in every way. Before you freak out, it's not official yet. Well, it is and he did propose and we already have the temple date and everything, but we aren't announcing it to the world (or to facebook) yet. We're waiting for the ring (which we ordered yesterday and I can't wait to get that thing on my finger) lol. So yeah, keep it hush hush for a few more weeks. We met online in May and talked for like 3 months on the phone every day, sometimes all day and my phone bill was outrageous. Then we met in person on Aug. 2nd and were together all day everyday 11 straight days. I was away from him for 2 day and that was hard. He's from Canada but is moving to Twin Falls, so we can be closer and at least see eachother on the weekends until the wedding which is November 21st by the way in the Columbia River Temple, which is in Tri Cities, Washington. There will be a reception in Prosser, Wa that night. I can't wait to send you all invites! Just had to share the news! Love ya all tons and hope your life is happy.

Rexburg Revisited!

Once upon a time, I was in Rexburg on Saturday and Sunday! Unfortunately, both times I was there, Kassie was either gone or at church ( :P ), so I didn't get to see her lovely face.

BUT there are some things I DID get to see.

Like THIS:

And THIS (addition to the MC):

THIS (new auditorium):

And yes, even THIS (yes, this is a picture of the igloo-building):

I also learned some things. Some were sad, and some were happy. Some of you may know about these changes, some of you may not.

#1. Hard Hat is CLOSED! :( We were going to eat lunch there, but Craigo's was just as deliciously memorable!

#2. Pine View = not Pine View. It's now called "The Pines." What the lame?

#3. The bookstore is TOTALLY not where it used to be. Also, it closes at 2:00 on Saturdays, so if you get there at 2:11, you'll be out of luck.

#4. The auditorium is HUGE! Okay, so probably not competition for the Marriott Center, but still. For BYU-I, it's huge!

#5. Craigo's didn't have those deliciously enticing, melt in your mouth mints that Kaitlyn loved to steal. :(

#6. The temple is incredible as ever (I know, this is not a change).
